IMPORTANT DECISIONS BY ASC EXCO IN THE 36TH EXCO MEETING.

The 36th meeting of Asian Shooting Confederation (ASC) Executive Committee (Exco) was successfully held on 22 February 2023 in Regency Hotel Kuwait. The ISSF President, H.E. Luciano Rossi (ISSF President) and ISSF Secretary General H.E. Willi Grill attended this meeting as honorable guests. In addition, 13 Executive Committee members attended the meeting both in-person and via Video Conference. Many important decisions were taken during the meeting, among which we state the following:

1. MIXED TEAM EVENT MEDAL (Unanimously approved)

Upon the proposal of the Chairman of ASC Technical & Judges Committee, the Executive Committee decided to maintain the same rules in ASC General Regulations and keep awarding two bronze medals in mixed team events provided that in team events, medals will be awarded by the total of qualification results.

2. AGREEMENT FOR HOSTING ASC CHAMPIONSHIPS (Unanimously approved)

An agreement sample for hosting ASC Championships was drafted by ASC headquarter legal advisor aiming to establish the guidelines and full engagement of   hosting Federations and ensure successful organization of ASC Championships as per ASC and ISSF competition guidelines.

The Executive Committee approved the sample Agreement.

 3. ANNOUNCING THE HOST FEDERATION FOR 16TH ASIAN SHOOTING CHAMPIONSHIPS (ALL EVENTS) 2025

Kazakhstan Sports Shooting Federation was announced as hosting federation for 16^th Asian Shooting Championships (all events) in 2025.

4. ASC CALENDAR 2023 AND 2024 

ASC Secretary General provided an overview of Asian events which will be organized in 2023 and 2024.

A letter from Indonesian Shooting Association (hosting federation for Asian Rifle / Pistol Championships 2024) was discussed during the meeting, wherein it was requested to reschedule the Championship due to Indonesian General Elections on 14-Feb-2024.

The ASC Executive Committee unanimously approved rescheduling the Asian Rifle / Pistol Championship to February 25 – March 9, 2024.

The Executive Committee also approved to organize the forthcoming Asian Youth Training and Coaching Course in Southeast Asian region.

 5. DECIDING DATE AND VENUE OF NEXT ASC EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE & GENERAL ASSEMBLY MEETINGS (Unanimously approved)

The ASC ExCo  decided to organize the ASC General Assembly meeting in Kuwait during the last quarter of 2023.

Finally, the meeting was adjured at 12:30 pm after discussing all the agenda items.
