Opening Ceremony of H.H Amir of Kuwait International Shooting Grand Prix, Kuwait & Asian Shotgun Cup 20 Feb - 02 Mar 2023, Kuwait.

The grand inauguration ceremony of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah International Shooting Grand Prix took place today on Tuesday 21 February 2023 at Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Shooting Complex with more than 150 shooters and officials around the global,with the presence of H.E. Sheikh Meshal AlSabah (Governor of Farwaniyah), H.E. Sheikh Salman Al-Sabah (President of Asian Shooting Confederation (ASC), H.E. Luciano Rossi (ISSF President), H.E. Willi Grill (ISSF Secretary General), and all heads of the Arab and international delegations.

Moreover, H.E. Eng. Duaij AlOtaibi (ASC Secretary General and KSF President) welcome all guests and praised the generous support of H.H the Amir for his continuous support for the shooting sport in Kuwait. Additionally, Eng. Duaij welcome all guests including ISSF President and Secretary General for their keenness to attend the competition. Furthermore, ASC Secretary General elaborated on the competition and mentioned that this competition is an international Grand Prix that is sponsored every year by H.H the Amir of Kuwait and this year it will include skeet and trap shooting disciplines for both men and women and will continue until March 2nd.

Meanwhile Asian Shotgun cup will began in the same day with the cooperation of Kuwait Shooting Federation (KSF) with a total participants of more than 150 shooters and officials representing 18 nations. The championship is an important event as shooters prepare for international and continental events to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Finally the ASC Secretary General wished all participants the best of luck and hoped they have a wonderful stay in Kuwait.
