The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has approved updated rules for the Olympic Shooting Events at Paris 2024. The decision was made unanimously by the ISSF Executive Committee and the new rules are largely in line with those used at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. The updated rules will come into effect from May 8th, starting with the World Cup in Baku.
In conjunction with the announcement, the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) has also published the new ISSF Rule book online. This allows athletes, coaches, and officials to familiarize themselves with any changes before the updated rules take effect in May 2023.
The updated rules for the Olympic Shooting Events are expected to enhance the fairness and competitiveness of the competitions, while also ensuring the safety and integrity of the sport. Athletes and officials are encouraged to review the new rules to ensure compliance and a smooth transition to the updated regulations.
